Beginning Glass Fusing

 One and Two Day Classes - Tuition includes all supplies and use of tools

 

Join this fast-paced two-day workshop. Students will get an introduction to glass, learn the basics of cutting & breaking glass and discuss the technical aspects of fusing and slumping including all the fundamentals of the process including use of tools, equipment, varieties of fusible glass, techniques and explanation of the fused glass process. Each student will have the opportunity to create pieces that will be available for pickup after they have been fired in the kilns. You will leave class with enough skills and knowledge to start fusing on your own.

Intermediate Glass Fusing

 One and Two Day Classes - Tuition includes all supplies and use of tools

Now that you know the basics come learn the techniques that will take your glass art to the next level. We will learn several ways of enhancing your glass with enamels, mica, decals, combing, screen melts, metal inclusions, and more. Expand your glass fusing knowledge while making beautiful jewelry, art, and plates.

Advanced Glass Fusing

 Two Days - Tuition includes all supplies and use of tools

 

In this two-day workshop you can make a wonderful thick glass bowl using any of several advanced kilnworking techniques. Gail Jensen will demonstrate combing, pulling vitrograph stringers and more.  She will also teach you cold working techniques to complete your fusted glass work to elevate it to gallery quality art.  Don't miss this opportunity to learn how to make thick glass bowls along with many other exciting techiques.  Some previous fusing experience is required. 

Fused Dichroic Jewelry

 One Day - Tuition includes all supplies and use of tools

Learn to create dazzling glass jewelry using dichroic glass.  Learn about kilns, cutting and fusing glass into stunning pendants, cabochons, earrings and More!  Finishing, adhesives are all covered in this class.

 

 

Scheduling Classes
